How to
stay organized for Online Classes
Hello everyone today’s topic is about
the very going on thing in every home
That is how
to stay organized for online classes since you may not have the
in-person contact with your classes as you may be familiar with in school
you'll have to keep yourself on track and accountable. You're going to be
managing a lot on your own so I hope you will find these organizational tips
helpful for you
Remember you've got this here are the
four tips that we'll be taking a closer look at
1. Create a workspace
2. Time management
3. Take breaks
4. Use your resources tip
1. Create an efficient workspace
having an organized workspace can help your mind focus whenever you sit down to
work you will want to find an area that is quiet and free of distractions this
should be separate from your bed and not where you generally like to relax. Here's
what you'll need, a laptop or a desktop a desk or a table, a chair something to
write with like a notebook paper or pencil and headphones. If you have any find
a spot that allows you enough space to take notes either on your laptop or by
hand you may want to consider working on a table or a desk where you could be
seated both your table and chair should allow for good posture, the chair
should be comfortable to allow your feet to rest on the floor. Another thing to
keep in mind is to eliminate any distractions like your phones or TV, put your
phone on silent airplane mode or turn it off keep your phones away from your
work area, don't play anything else on in the background like Netflix because
it will be really tempting to get consumed and lose track of time.
2. Time management becoming better at managing
time allows you to be more organized feel confident improve your work quality
and learn more effectively it could also help students avoid procrastination
problems to help you manage your time you'll want to build a schedule you can
write or type your assignments and activities somewhere you could visualize in
one place this will keep you from having to juggle between many courses. You
could also do this by using a list format a physical calendar electronic
calendar or a planner when you get information about when an assignment is due
make sure you write it in your schedule this will help you keep track of what
is happening in your classes and assignment deadlines. You don't want to rely
on your brain to remember everything because you might forget you could also
use your calendar to add in reminders of when to start your assignments while
it may be tempting to wait until the last minute to do your assignments you
should try to have things completed earlier to allow more flexibility ideally
assignments should be finished a couple of days before the deadline. You may
feel less stressed knowing that your assignments are completed before the due
date to give you some flexibility in case something comes. Having a routine
will help you start your day and can have an impact on how productive you are
the next thing you'll want to do is decide what you will do and win. you will
want to plan ahead and work on these assignments early. so that you don't end
up procrastinating since I know when my assignments are due I can start
planning and schedule reminders to help you remember when to do those
assignments.
For example I have a science assignment
due on Thursday and I know it's going to take me about two hours to complete so
I will decide to work on it on Tuesday and have it written in my schedule it
might feel overwhelming to have assignments that are assigned at the same time
with similar deadlines but it can be manageable if you plan ahead say you found
out on Monday that you have two assignments coming up that are both due on
Friday there are different ways you can go about doing this.
I will be sharing two ways to give you some
ideas the first way is to prioritize you could start by prioritizing which
tasks is going to take you the shorter amount of time to get that assignment
out of the way before tackling the larger assignment or vice-versa the key
component is to make sure to complete both assignments early to give yourself a
few days before the due date this allows you some flexibility to review make
changes or if you run into technology issues before you submit, the second way
is to break down your assignments into smaller parts you'll need to estimate
how much time it's going to take for each of first if it's going to take you
about three hours for each assignment you should schedule one hour each day to
work on each assignment if you start both assignments on Monday you'll have the
assignment completed by Wednesday.
Just don't forget to review your work
and make edits before turning it in when you break up your assignments and
smaller pieces it will feel more manageable to do rather than cranking it all
out in one setting.
3. Take breaks, remember to take
scheduled breaks when you're working during these breaks you'll want to figure
out what you might do whether you'd like to get some fresh air ,listen to music
,draw or need a snack. Mmake sure to eat breakfast a brunch snack and lunch
just like you would be doing during school. Eating is crucial for your health
and well-being especially providing you with energy to stay productive it might
be easy to lose track of time and overwork. So, use help you stay focused and
transition for example if you plan to work on English for an hour before you
start your science project set a timer for 60 minutes when the timer goes off
move to your next task you'll want to set another 60 minutes for the second
assignment you should also use the timer for your breaks it's easy to get
distracted and consumed into your breaks so the timer is a good sign for you to
get back to work and use your time wisely.
4. Use your resources, we understand
this might not be the ideal way we want to learn but this is temporary and
might take some time to adjust even though we may have a physical distance we
are still here for you one way to help is to stay connected with your peers
teachers, counselors and school staff. Don't hesitate to reach out make sure to
attend your virtual class meetings, check your emails and check your class
updates daily. Most importantly remember to ask lots of questions you can send
your teacher an email or drop in during the virtual hours if that is available
your teachers are more than willing to help you in order to be successful. With
these tips you need to make it your daily routine and stick with it this will
help you create a calmer more efficient start for your remote learning. I
guarantee you that staying organized will increase your chances of staying on
top of your classes if these strategies don't work for you make sure to find a
system that does work for you don't give up keep trying we believe in you and
know you can do it.
Thanks for the suggestions.Hope we cope up with this challenging educational style.
