What are Vitamins?
Vitamins are essential substances
that our body needs to grow normally. Our body needs vitamins to stay healthy
and good diet gives us all the vitamins. Different kinds of vitamins play a
unique role in maintaining good health.
Vitamins can be classified into two
categories
1.Water soluble vitamins
2.Fat soluble vitamins

* Water soluble vitamins
Water-soluble vitamins are not stored in the body. We need to get them from food every day.
Water soluble vitamins dissolves in water and eliminated in urine. There are nine water soluble Vitamins. Eight B-complex vitamins and vitamin C.

* Fat soluble vitamins
Fat soluble vitamins are not soluble
in fat and are stored in body fatty tissues. A,D,E and k are
fat soluble vitamins. If a person takes too much of a fat soluble vitamin it leads to toxicity
